THE BIG BEAT - Fridays @ 12pm PT/ 3pm ET
I'm Bob Vincent, host of THE BIG BEAT
, right here on MtROCK. I'm a Multiple Award-winning broadcaster (Including an RTNA GOLDEN MIKE) with an undying passion for Rock and Roll, vinyl records, and The Beatles, which has been helpful in the development of THE BIG BEAT. THE BIG BEAT showcases the career-spanning music of The Beatles as well as their solo works, cover songs, and even their kids' and wives' music.
I was born decades after The Beatles existed. As a young'n, I want to help bridge the generational gap between Rock and Roll fans. I also strive to further explore and understand The Beatles' universe by deeply immersing my heart and mind in The Beatles' music and the stories of those who were actually around to hear the latest Beatle record.
Come on! Roll up, roll up! Start your weekend right with THE BIG BEAT!I greatly look forward to sharing this timeless music with you!

Adversity! Perseverance! Dedication! Christopher Ryan Murry has lived his life looking to achieve the ultimate success-to not only make a mark, but rise too the top of the Los Angeles sports talk radio and journalist market. A passion for sports is an understatement, an obsession is more correctly worded. As a child this obsession became clear; a love for the game quickly influenced his dreams and aspirations. The love expanded during a summer vacation in 2000 when on this particular summer he, along with his mother, traveled the country taking in baseball stadiums. Going everywhere from Kaufman Stadium in Kansas City to the old Yankee Stadium in New
York to Fenway Park, and Camden Yards. It’s led to a lifestyle of traveling to sporting events; most recently Soldier Field (Bears/Panthers 2012) and Wrigley Field (Angels/ Cubs 2013). Today Chris is in his third year at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Ca as a Deans List radio broadcasting major. Heavily involved with the radio stations on campus (Audio8ball-Internet and Mt. Rock Radio-FM), he has done Sports Updates on a number of shows from morning shows to evening news shows-earning a 2013 and 2014 IBS Finalist national award nomination (of the five finalists, Chris was the only one on the entire west coast). He currently hosts an hourly sports talk show, called “Full Court Press” on www.audio8ball.com. For Chris the days are long and the sleep is slim, but the dream isn’t over. In fact, his motto has become “sleep in overrated” and with this attitude he has built a characteristic as being one of most hard working students around the RTV Program at school as well in his daily life. He currently lives in Corona, Ca and can be contacted via Twitter @ChrisRyanMurry or on Facebook simply look up Christopher Ryan Murry.
I have been attending Mt. SAC for about 2 years now and for the longest time I was goin for a psychology major but during the spring semester of 2012 it all changed. I took one class in R-TV and that was it, I knew I had to join the program.
I got interested in radio slightly back in High School, when I had a teacher tell me I had a good voice, then about 6 years later I was randomly approached on the Metro Link by someone who heard me talking and told me just about the same thing.
Fast forwarding back to now, I started as an intern on at Audio8ball.com and it was all just amazing. I kept working on stories and other ideas then was offered a Producer position, that was the best day so far.
Done the 42nd street king or simply Done is the host with most, music that is for your Monday morning drive. He strives to bring you to that line without crossing it. Maybe just peek over it a little bit. You can catch him solo Mondays 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and as part of Mt.Rock’s “Crass Before Class” Fridays 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Fanelly Millán is a freelance writer, Traffic reporter apprentice and at times even a music selector when DJs get stuck in traffic or just won’t show to events. Her favorite hobbies are jogging, meditating and fixing things. She was introduced to the world of Radio by accident and since then has taken a more serious approach by going back to school to complete her B.A. in Communications with an emphasis in Radio of course! Overall, Fany is just a creative being looking for daily inspiration.
There's a lot to say about Michael Foss, but not as much as Foss has to say about a lot.
Music, Science, Current Events, Art, Politics; He's up to date, and he knows a little of everything. In his radio circle, they call him Fossopedia, though he claims he knows very little.
Socrates would be proud, maybe.
Regardless, Foss always has a fact, a story, or interesting news to tell. Kind of convenient, as he is Mt Rock's News Director.
So if you're feeling mentally unfulfilled, catch Foss Tuesday and Thursday mornings anchoring the news on Total Chaos.
He'll do his best to put some new knowledge in your Noggin."
From the young age of five, Guru had dreams of becoming an actor on the big screen. Even his parents felt that was his true calling; he was always outgoing and very imaginative.
Now, at the age of 21, his aspirations have changed, but only slightly. While he would still love to be an actor, his new-found dream is to become a film editor and screenwriter. With so many creative ideas circulating in his big head, maybe you'll see his name credited on the big screen someday!
Guru also enjoys creating "music videos" by taking footage of movies and/or YouTube videos and trying to create something fun.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Dolores Alvarez, known on air as “Lola Alvarez” is a returning Radio/Television and Journalism Program student. This is her third year at Mt. SAC, and second semester in the Radio program. Originally a Psychology major, Lola chose to instead pursue her childhood dream-as a reporter in television, radio, and entertainment. While completing her general education requirements and earning her associates degree at Mt SAC in Communications, she fell into the Radio Program, and after taking Introduction to Radio/TV-01, she was hooked on Radio and Television. Her future plans are to transfer back to CSUF and begin her adventure at as a Broadcast Journalism major for Fall 2014. Ultimately, she hopes to work for a local affiliate news channel and enjoy the LA lifestyle, which includes networking, sightseeing, and of course, endless visits to the beach. She enjoys tuning into hip hop and rap as much (and as loud) as she can, with an appreciation for classic rock and country music as well. She also has a background in jazz ballet and Mexican folk ballet. On her free time, she enjoys riding the public transportation system to Los Angeles and exploring the big city. Other hobbies also include writing, blogging, going to music concerts, and trying new foods with friends and family.
Operations Director, 90.1 FM Mt. Rock
I'm a really easy going guy as well as a hard worker. Being on a microphone is my passion and I don't plan on giving it up any time soon! I enjoy writing and reading the news, and am always up for playing a game of basketball or ultimate frisbee!
I really hope one day to be a newscaster either here or LA, and being able to give people what they really want to hear, which is an honest newscast with relevant information.
When I'm not at the station, I volunteer at church, love to travel, and enjoy rooting on the local pro sports teams here in LA.
No one really knows where the Sergio actually came from. Some say he's a world famous disc jockey, others say he's a crazy man demanding to be on the radio, others say he's an alter ego of a deranged college student. All that is certain is his love, respect and passion for great music. He is known to obsess over Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, and The Beatles. Which brings us to the present time, where he has been given the opportunity to spread his favorite music through an online radio station, MtRockRadio.com. Anything questions can be sent to his inbox, where he will read over and think of replying back.
He is known to be a bit of a hot head as he is a former mixed martial artist and professional wrestler.
Shanyn, previously voted Best Newcomer, was born and raised in sunny Southern California. She's been in the radio program for a year now and absolutely loves it. Outside the booth she is an animal lover, a student, and total Whovian. You can catch the former KOST 103.5 FM Intern throughout the week for traffic updates.

I also broke Waffles.
Sid, The MtRock Baby
Where did Sid come from? We don't even know.
He showed up in the MtRock Offices one day, cold and alone. So, we have him some CDs and gave him a home.....working 7 days a week as a over-night and weekend DJ.
Sid loves it at the station so much, that he doesn't leave....ever! He has made the 90.1 MtRock Studio his new home and he is here to stay! Sid can hold down on-air duties flawlessly, while keeping groupies out of the control room.
Rest assured, when Sid, The MtRock Baby is on the air, you can count on non-stop Rock!
Born on the mountain top….no wait..wrong bio…
Playing music and having fun is what Vicki Ryle loves to do. Working on her third show here on the air waves of Mt Rock and Audio8ball, Vicki is getting the hang of all those pretty, shiny buttons and knowing which ones to push to make tunes pour out of your speakers. You can hear her joyful sounds as co-host of the Vicki and Chris Show Mondays, 1p-3p on audio8ball.com, and see what fun she has on Fridays 2p-4p over on mtrockradio.com
- Tues/ Thurs @ 9-11 AM PST
is the mold and mildew of the station. They just can't seem to get rid of him. He is also co-host, production assistant, and engineer of Total Chaos
with Jabber Jaw and Bob Vincent
Once Facebook married to the traffic girl (because that makes it official), which lasted a week. He lost his mind and hasn't been the same since. She blames him, he blames "rainbow unicorns with t-rex arms and pink nails". Whatever that means?
